Dealer Comments

This beautiful 1941 Cadillac Series 61 is a Show Winning four-door sedan finished in gorgeous Metallic Silver with a Grey cloth interior. Flat-head V8, 3-speed manual trans. A very nice restored example, it features Bedford cloth interior, beautifully refinished wood grain on the dash and door tops and spotless finish on the steering wheel. The paint, chrome and panel fit are all very strong, and the engine bay is clean and detailed. It has steel wheels with Cadillac hubcaps, wide whitewall tires, rear fender skirts with Cadillac crests, a three-speed manual transmission, radio, heater and dash clock.
The body on this 1941 Cadillac is very nice and straight, and correct. Looking very much as it would have looked when it was new. The fit of the doors, hood, and trunk are very uniform all the way around. The moldings and bright work surrounding the windows are fantastic, with very minimal wear. The tail lights, side mirrors, engine vent, hood ornament, door handles, windshield wiper mounts, and front grill all shine very brightly. All of the glass is very clear with no discoloring, delamination, cracking, or wiper marks. All interior materials show very little wear. The seat material has no noticeable wear or damage. The wood grain shows very well, as does the interior dash chrome, and other interior accents. The headliner is clean and tight. The door panels look excellent. The carpet shows very little wear and has very good, solid color.
Cadillac offered a wide range of restyled models for 1941. Cadillac's B-body offering for 1941 was the Series 61, introduced to replace La Salle after that brand was discontinued. Cadillac's new designs featured a lower hood, tapering trunks and streamlined fenders. The headlights were recessed into the fenders, flanking a bold egg-crate grille that would become a Cadillac trademark. Both front and rear fenders were accented with three slim chrome spears. Running boards had virtually disappeared. Under the hood Cadillac's V-8 engine was rated at 150hp. The sedan was distinguished by its tapered, beautiful, elegant fastback rear, similar to the aerodynamic coupes of the 1930s. With good looks and solid engineering, Cadillac was about to strengthen its hold on the luxury market.
The graceful fastback styling, beautiful fit, finish and detail, manual transmission and solid condition of this classic Series 61 make it nicely suited for shows, tours, and long casual drives. It will certainly draw admiration from onlookers while providing driver and passengers with Cadillac's characteristic blend of comfort and smooth but impressive performance.
