Restored 1950 Willys Jeepster Convertible. Presented in Springtime Yellow and Tuxedo Black, this 1950 Jeepster is an eye-catching two-door convertible that has been restored from the ground up. It is powered by a correct F134 "Hurricane" four-cylinder engine and 3-speed manual transmission.

Produced from 1948-1951, the Jeepster was designed to be a sporty two-door convertible that was aimed at returning WWII veterans. The Jeepster took many cues from the Jeep Pickup and Station Wagon models like the simple "slab-side" design, prominent front grille and engine/transmission options. This example features an F134 "Hurricane" 132ci four-cylinder engine that was rated at 73hp and a "three-on-the-tree" manual transmission with overdrive to back it up. Since it was positioned as a road-going two-door car, the Jeepster was available only with rear-wheel drive.

During the restoration, this Jeepster was stripped and professionally refinished in Springtime Yellow with Tuxedo Black trim. New chrome bumpers were installed and the car rolls on red painted wheels shod with correct Willys covers and Coker Classic wide white wall tires. Inside, this Jeepster boasts new Cream Yellow & Black vinyl upholstery, new steering wheel and red carpeting, as well as a black soft top.

Only 5,800 Jeepsters were produced for 1950 and, as can be expected, very few have survived use and old age. This example is very well presented, well restored and runs and drives excellently. It is a crowd pleaser that gathers attention wherever it goes.
