This 1958 Ford Fairline 500 is an appealing representative of the model's second production year, for which it gained a hood scoop, as well as Thunderbird-inspired styling touches such as new "safety-Twin" headlamps and a trapezoidal grille. Under the hood, this Fairline is equipped with the, new-for-1958 352 cubic-inch V-8 engine, which produced a substantial 300 horsepower; this was paired with a Ford-O-Matic transmission. Exhaust exits the 6 barrel 352 via a 2 1/2 dual exhaust setup that gives this 1958 Fairline a nice throaty sound.
