This impeccably restored and fastidiously cared for 1961 Jaguar Mark II 3.4 Saloon is the product of a no-expense spared, every-nut-and-bolt rotisserie restoration that was completed in 2012. Nearly $125,000 was invested in restoring this superb Jaguar, with the work being done by Vintage Jag Works in Blackfoot, Idaho.
Every imaginable component of this Mark II has been restored, from the excellently re-chromed brightwork all the way down to the door seals. The body showcases incredible panel fit and gaps, fantastic brighwork and virtually flawless finish. Inside the cabin, this Mark II is nothing short of spectacular. Over $12,000 was spent on upholstery alone, with opulent Connoly leather hides, Wilton wool carpeting and a Fawn colored headliner chosen for the interior. The high level of luxury continues with a beautifully polished wood dash and door trim, a wood-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel and restored Smiths instrumentation.
Mark II's were a fast, capable saloon straight from the factory floor with a 3.4L straight-six under the hood that was rated at 210hp by Jaguar. This Mark II's engine was fully rebuilt during the restoration and is paired with a correct 4-speed manual transmission. 4-wheel disc brakes provide stopping power behind 15" wire wheels.
Accompanying this Mark II is a substantial binder with organized restoration invoices, over 200 photographs and details of all the work performed by Vintage Jag Works during the process.
The incredible quality of this 1961 Mark II is extremely difficult to convey without seeing it in person, and we encourage you to stop by our Bellevue, WA showroom for a personal viewing. Simply put, this car ranks among the finest Mark II's on the planet and is JCNA Concours ready.
