The unveiling of the Pontiac GTO in 1964 started the muscle car revolution that took over America in the 1960s and 1970s. Putting the biggest motors available into a manufacturer's cars created some of the most sought-after classics and the first generation GTO is no exception.
Overall, this is a particularly nice 1965 GTO Convertible (older restoration showing excellent) finished in a desirable Starlight Black with a black vinyl bucket seat interior and a black soft top. The original 389 cubic inch motor in this car has been thoroughly rebuilt by Torrence Racing Motors and is now 402 cubic inches and features a modernized fuel injection system. This helps to both increase power as well as reliability and drivability on the street as the car runs smoothly. Automatic transmission, positraction rear, power steering, power breaks, and correct rally wheels. Air conditioning has also been added for increased comfort on hot days and paperwork is included for all of the upgrades on the car. In addition, the original three carburetor setup is included in the sale with both the manifold and carburetors to match. Car Of The Year Window Sticker Still On Wind Wing. This GTO convertible runs and drives awesome with no known issues.
