This 1988 Cadillac Allante is a Pininfarina-designed two-seat roadster that has been fastidiously maintained and shows in superb condition throughout; a virtual time capsule to when it was sold new here in the Seattle area. Produced to be a direct competitor to European roadsters, the Allante was Cadillacs halo car that started at over $54,000, more than double the cost of a DeVille. The car was designed and partially assembled by Pininfarina in Italy before being flown back to GM for final assembly here in the states. It is equipped with a number of features that were considered state-of-the-art at the time like a fully functional digital dash, Dolby audio, power leather seats, adjustable lumbar support, auto climate control, 4-wheel disc brakes and an on-board computer. It is powered by a 4.1L V8 that develops a smooth powerband and the automatic transmission shifts effortlessly. This is one of finest Allantes on the road and you would be hard pressed to come across another in such extraordinary condition.
