Debuting in 1983 as the successor to the Willys Jeep based "Series" Land Rovers, the Defender had big shoes to fill as the new design needed to be just as capable as the old model off-road while improving drivability on the road. With the introduction of items such as coil springs, an updated interior, progressively more powerful engines and in 1984, roll up windows, the Defender became the automatic choice for outdoor adventurers and English farmers alike. As time progressed, Land Rover continued to update the Defender with more modern interior features and new engines- the most popular being the 200TDi introduced in 1989.

This 1991 Land Rover Defender 110 is a beautiful example finished in an eye-catching shade of Arles Blue with a Chawton White roof and a custom grey leather interior with seating for 9 inside. Under the hood, this Defender 110 features the 2.5 liter, turbo-diesel Inline-4 200TDi engine which produces enough torque to pull stumps on your farm and enough power to cruise effortlessly on the highway- all while providing remarkable fuel economy for a vehicle of this size. The engine is run through a five-speed manual gearbox with a two-speed transfer case and locking center differential for ultimate off road control. This Defender also includes modern amenities such as air conditioning, power brakes, power steering and a sunroof. In addition to everything that comes on a standard Defender 110, this car has been modified by UK Defender specialists Arkonik with a host of welcome upgrades.

Arkonik always starts their builds with high quality Defender examples and builds each one into something unique- starting with the exterior, the car was fully repainted in Arles Blue with the Chawton White roof. Arkonik then accented the paintwork with black diamond plate trim on the tops of the front fenders and lower rockers for extra protection when off road. They then added a full-length roof rack with an integrated ladder for ease of use and LED lighting on the front of the roof and a work light next to the tailgate. The front bumper was upgraded to feature a more protective A-Bar and features a Warn winch and even more LED lighting. On the inside, Arkonik reupholstered all nine seats in grey leather with white stitching and installed new front seats with seat heaters and adjustable lumbar support. The headliner and pillars are all covered in matching grey suede, the steering wheel has been wrapped in black leather and the car fitted with an Alpine head unit with Apple Car Play. To replicate this car with Arkonik would cost over $150,000 and have you waiting 18 months for a finished truck- with only 4,064 miles showing on the odometer, you can have this nearly new example in your garage today!
