The Turbo's acceleration is particularly impressive -- a result of its Twin-Turbocharged 3.6L flat-six, rated at an eye-watering 415HP, and paired with Porsche's silky-smooth 6-speed manual transmission with all-wheel drive. Derived form the Porsche GT1 racecar, the 3.6-liter 415-horsepower twin-turbo engine, horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine features dual intercoolers and produces 26.8 psi maximum boost -more than double any previous 911 Turbo. The engine sustains an impressive 415 lb.-ft. of torque. Power drives through a standard six-speed manual transmission. Also derived from the GT1 racecar are its one-piece, four-piston brake calipers with 13-inch vented, cross-drilled discs front and rear. The standard Porsche Stability Management system (PSM) can detect a loss of grip at the front or rear and reduce instability by applying braking to individual wheels and, if necessary, altering engine power. The steering system is very responsive and precise, and the race-bred Porsche brakes provide the required stopping power.

The cockpit of this Porsche maintains basic design themes from the past but boasts cleaner layouts and enhanced functionality, particularly the classic instrument cluster that includes a high resolution, multi-function screen, a central rev counter, and an ignition lock to the left of the steering wheel. Though the cabin has a function-oriented layout, upscale materials on the doors and dashboard, and remarkable craftsmanship and attention to detail throughout welcomes both driver and passenger.
