As the flagship performance Corvette in 2006, the Z06 features a large number of standard performance features. The car is powered by a 7.0L V8 engine under the hood that develops 505hp and 470lb-ft of torque. The engine is backed by a 6-speed manual transmission and limited slip rear end. Further performance features include the Z06 Performance Package that adds upgraded brakes, engine, power steering and transmission coolers, performance springs and larger sway bars. The 2LZ Package adds heated sport seats with driver memory, Bose premium audio system - (which has been upgraded with a high-end audiophile system in this car), satellite radio, a 6-disc CD changer, auto-dimming mirrors, Homelink and steering wheel audio control. Notable standard features include Xenon head lamps, a head-up display, keyless ignition, leather upholstery, removable roof panel, dual-zone automatic climate control and tire pressure monitoring.
The professionally installed audiophile-grade sound system in this Corvette is designed around being subtle, with an emphasis on tonal clarity and overall sound quality. Small subs in a sealed enclosure to provide crisp bass response that is not overpowering but has plenty of kick. It has been tailored for a equal distribution of sound throughout the frequency range with high-end Focal components and the installed Dynamat sound barrier. Three 8" Focal subwoofers in a custom designed low-profile enclosure that's wrapped in matching grey and black leather to the seats and does not intrude on trunkspace. Focal speakers in factory location with Dynamat in the doors to keep the sound in the car. Alpine Amplifiers hidden in the rear cubby so they are not taking up trunk space.
