For the 5.2 model, Audi managed to shoehorn 5.2 Litres of glorious Lamborghini-derived V10 power and sound into the R8 with virtually no modification between the 4.2 and 5.2 bodies. As with virtually all Audis, this R8 features Quattro all-wheel drive for surefooted grip and with a 15:85 front/rear torque distribution, the R8 doesn't lose all of the feeling of a RWD coupe. Other performance features include a performance suspension with adaptive damping, dry-sump engine lubrication, electronic differential lock and massive performance brakes.
As Audi's halo car for 2012, the R8 5.2 is host to extensive luxury amenities, in addition to high performance. Full LED head lamps are standard, along with a superior Bang & Olufsen audio system, GPS navigation, Bluetooth® telephone connectivity, Nappa leather upholstery, heated power-adjustable sport seats, auto-dimming mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, front / rear parking sensors and rear-view camera.
