BGB 991 3.8L Conversion. Have you ever wondered how good the Cayman platform could be if Porsche wasn't worried about cannibalizing 911 sales? Wonder no more. This car was built by world-renowned BGB Motorsports in Florida. What started as a well optioned Cayman S has turned into an obsession to create the best Cayman possible. They swapped out the original 3.4L engine for the larger 3.8L (430HP) engine from the 911 GTS, IPD Competition Intake with 82mm Throttle Body, Center 3rd Radiator Kit, 911 Carrera S Front Brakes, CarGraphic headers with 200 cell catalytic converters and sport exhaust, Lightweight OZ Racing wheels and Carbon Fiber rear wing. Total investments were over $126k.

The end result is one of the best modern Porsche's in recent memory. Optimal weight balance from its Mid-Engine layout with a powertrain that can fully utilize it. The 991 9A1 engine is silky smooth and progressive in its power delivery and has an appetite for rpms, while offering a very flat torque curve. The Carrera S brakes offer an unwavering pedal feel with enough capacity to handle worst of punishment. The 7-Speed PDK transmission performs flawlessly in auto while offering lighting quick shifts in manual mode. However, the best part about this build is the overall polish and OEM feel. Everything just works and works as it would have if Porsche built the car themselves. BGB went to great lengths to make sure that when doing the conversion that they didn't compromise on anything. If someone told you that this car was built by Porsche from the beginning you would believe them. It's that good!
