This 2017 Lamborghini Huracan Spyder is an absolutely immaculate example that shows just under 8,800 miles from new. The car has been specced in a stunning shade of light blue called Blu Cepheus that has an amazing multi-stage pearl effect that cost nearly $12,000 when new. The color does an impressive job of highlighting the lines of the car and is sure to attract attention anywhere you take it. The 20 inch forged wheels in black provide a nice contrast to the bright paint work and the combination is tied together with brake calipers painted to match the exterior. On the interior, the seats have been specified in a spectacular blue and black two tone that matches the exterior paint scheme and looks amazing. An exciting interior is just as important as the exterior when the top is down on a convertible and this car certainly checks that box.
Mounted right behind the seats, the 5.2-Liter V10 helps the Huracan do the 0-60 sprint in under 2.9 seconds and the quarter mile in just 10.6 seconds. Being a naturally aspirated engine, the car absolutely screams when being driven at high revs and this is enhanced with an optional sport exhaust system that improves the tone even further. The 7-speed dual clutch transaxle makes for immediate and perfectly timed shifts and can be used in automatic mode while driving in city traffic. Power is sent to all four wheels through an intelligent, electrically controlled all wheel drive system that aids traction in inclement weather and means that this car can really put the power down on any sort of road. If you are looking for a car that can fly under the radar, this is probably not the vehicle for you- but if your desire is to be the star of any car show, look no further. This Huracan has an extremely unique and desirable specification and is just asking to be taken on a spirited weekend drive with the top down.
After Audi's acquisition of Lamborghini in the early 2000s, it was determined that to make the company more profitable, they would need to start building more cars. This meant adding a second model that fit beneath their V12 Murcielago which would appeal to a larger market and could compete with the likes of the Ferrari 360 and Porsche 911 Turbo. In 2003 Lamborghini began production of the Gallardo- a striking supercar with a mid-mounted V10 engine which proved so popular that in just a few years, Gallardo production amounted to more cars than Lamborghini had built in all previous years combined! By the end of Gallardo production in 2014, it was clear that the car had been a success with over 14,000 cars sold and it was time for the followup. First shown at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, the Huracan clearly took some design inspiration from the Gallardo but expanded on it to make it even more stunning to look at and numerous technology changes meant that the driving experience was on a completely other level. The Huracan was the first Lamborghini to use a double clutch gearbox-which was standard on all cars and attached to the immensely powerful 602 horsepower naturally aspirated V10.
