1954 Chevrolet 3100 Resto Mod
There are few cars more iconic than a 1950s Chevrolet pickup truck- equally at home hauling supplies as they are built out for show, this generation of truck can really do everything well. This particular 1954 Chevrolet 3100 has been built out from top to bottom as a show truck with plenty of modern conveniences so that it is as exciting to look at as it is behind the wheel. When the build began, the shop stripped the truck to its bare frame, which was then boxed before it began upgrading every aspect along the way. Starting with the suspension, a 4-link rear suspension was installed and Heidets Hot Rod Shop provided coilovers for the rear. Up front, Heidets also provided a full front end setup with rack and pinion steering for a more pleasant driving experience and 4-wheel disc brakes were added to help slow things down. When the underside was finished, it was coated with RAPTOR color-matching rubberized undercoat which will keep this truck rust free for years to come. The bodywork is exceptionally well done and the orange paint absolutely glows when it sits in the sun. A set of halogen headlights adorn the front of the vehicle and all of the chrome is in fantastic condition. 
With all of the updates to the suspension, it was the natural thing to do to update the engine and gearbox at the same time. Gone was the stock inline-6 and in its place, a ZZ350 Chevrolet V8 crate motor. Equipped with electronic ignition, a performance intake and Holley 600 carburetor, this engine provides plenty of power to move this truck down the road but remains reliable and any part you could ever need or want to add is readily available. An aluminum radiator keeps the truck cool and ceramic coated headers are affixed to a 2.5-inch Flowmaster exhaust that runs out the back of the truck. A TH350 automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels and is known as one of the most dependable gearboxes out there. In place of the original gas tank, an aluminum fuel cell has been placed under the bed for easier fueling and greater safety- and the bed has received a fully wooden floor. This truck is just asking to be taken to your local cruise night and will grab the attention of anybody who sees it. 
On the inside, a fully custom interior provides far greater comfort than what came in the truck originally and features numerous hidden modern updates. Beautiful tan leather covers the bench seat and door cards and is a great accent to the dashboard which is color matched to the exterior. An Ididit chrome steering column and custom billet wheel look great and make getting in and out much easier than these trucks ever were with their original wheel. Brand new Dolphin gauges provide accurate readouts and power windows have been added for greater convenience. More often than not, classics are missing two of the things we come to expect in modern vehicles- air condition and a stereo. Thankfully, this Chevrolet has been upgraded with a very nice Vintage Air system to keep the cabin cool and a full Pioneer Electronics stereo so you can enjoy your favorite music while youre out driving. In the world of classic cars, there arent many out there that offer the whole package- looks, performance, usability and dependability- but this truck checks off every single one of those boxes. A great companion for a cruise to a local restaurant or a road trip states away, this truck will provide smiles to anyone who sees it.
